Rules for Aftercare

„Part of the tasks and goals of the Primary School  is the development of the various talents of learners in a mutual education course, practising behaviour for coexistence as well as the advancement of the power of the inherent moulding and the creative moulding.“ (compare. Schulgesetz (School Law Baden-Württemberg 5)

For many children of the DSK not only the mornings at school, but also the Aftercare has now become part of the daily routine of the Primary School. For these children school does not end after the sixth lesson, but often only at 17:00h. When one considers that the time after school is very important, especially for children of primary school age, our Aftercare is particularly anxious to organise this time in an educationally meaningful manner, which makes sense and to offer the children quality activities of high standard.
Our Aftercare therefore plans the time after school in such a way that they meet the requirements of the children and their natural need of movement and play by diverse outside games under supervision or also in free play, with material for outside, but also suitable material and games for inside. Children need the possibility to try out and explore. They need play partners and people they can trust. In addition, sound structures must be in place by which they can orientate themselves. The Aftercare staff addresses all this and interlocks the morning sector with the afternoon sector through qualified homework supervision and various projects.
At the same time a warm lunch is provided, which can be enjoyed in our cafeteria.

Times are indicated on the application form. In principle your child can eat there from Mondays until Thursdays from 12:25h until 17:00h and Fridays from 11:05h until 13:15h.
