Die DSK hat ein neues Portal --- hier geht es zu DEINEM Alumniportal.
Mit nur wenigen Angaben bist du Teil in diesem kostenlosen Portal.
Der Sinn besteht darin, dass Alumnis (Altschüler*) in diesem Portal
· Kontakte pflegen,
· Alumnis wieder finden (Suche in der Online-Datenbank)
· sich zu Klassentreffen organisieren können,
· Erfahrungen betreffs Fächer-, Studium-, Berufswahl austauschen,
· Praktikantenstellen und/oder Jobs anbieten oder suchen können,
· im Forum mitdiskutieren und
· über ihre Schule informiert werden.
Bitte melden Sie sich unter "Noch nicht Mitglied" an. Selbstverständlich kann man sein Profil selbst verwalten z.B. ein Foto hochladen, Lebenslauf einfügen, usw.
Schüler, die jetzt an der Schule sind, können sich auch gerne anmelden! Sinnvoll wäre dies jedoch nur für Oberschulschüler, denn sie können ihr Profil selbst verwalten und Kontakt zu Altschülern aufnehmen, wenn sie sich über das Leben „da draußen“ informieren wollen. ;-)
GANZ WICHTIG!
BITTE bei der Anmeldung unter "Abschlussjahrgang" das Jahr auswählen in dem Sie Matrik waren ODER WÄREN, auch wenn Sie vorher schon die Schule gewechselt haben oder einen anderen Schulabschluß der DSK absolviert haben. Das garantiert, dass Sie in IHREM Jahrgang eingefügt werden.
*Altschüler - das Wort wollen wir ausblenden, denn es ist eine Erfindung, die in keinem Wörterbuch zu finden ist. Und mal ehrlich ... wer will schon "alt" und ewig "Schüler" sein?!

Brief einer Altschülerin unserer Schule
Wir freuen uns immer sehr über Rückmeldungen von ehemaligen Schülern der DSK. Der folgende Brief zeigt, dass unsere Neue Sekundarstufe eine wichtige Rolle in der Lebensentwicklung unserer Schüler spielt.
Letter by a former learner of our school
We are always very happy to hear from former learners of the DSK. The following letter is a clear indication of the important role of the Neue Sekundarstufe/Foreign Language Stream in the life of our learners.
“Good day,
My name is Zandile Ruth Hoshe, I am a former student who matriculated in 2004.
I write to you as I wish to thank the school for offering the C-class program to help students like myself. Never would I have imagined that I would go to a private school of such a high caliber and be received with such love and care. The C-class program at the DSK gave me access to education at its best and as a result, a shot at a bright future – despite a background which dictates that big dreams and a bright future are but a fairy tale.
I recently visited the school for the first time since I matriculated and was fortunate enough to run into Mr. Pandit who was carrying a pair of trainers as he did when I first met him 15 years ago. Strange as it may sound – seeing him like that reassured me that he and many others still have the same passion and commitment as they did when I was a student.
To my former teachers, especially Mr. Reedwaan Pandit, Ms. Kim Tshaka, the late Mr. and Mrs. Rossouw as well as the former principal Mr. Muche – I wish to express sincere gratitude for all you have done for me. You inspired me to reach for my dreams and to see failure as a test of the faith I have in my own abilities. Collectively, you inspired me to continue learning with an open and positive mind. I cannot begin to count the number of headaches I must have caused each of you yet you remained patient and above all supportive.
Once again, thank all of you. I wish you the best in all your future endeavours and may the favour of God be upon you always.
I pray that one day I may have the same impact on the life and future of another, as you have had on mine.
